Woolen felt has long been the standard for erasers, since it first replaced "the closest rag" over a century ago. And to this day, it’s still our most popular type of eraser. Today’s modern version, however, is now composed of thick felt material that's machine-stitched, with heavy-duty threading, to a dense but flexible base. They will last for years and years, consistently providing clean thorough erasure. They are light weight but sturdy and will work well on all porcelain surfaces, as well as chalkboards, plastic and glass.
